Following their return to the country from the United Kingdom, where they participated in this year’s edition of English Super Cup and Welsh Super Cup on Monday, the players and officials of Buruj Sports Academy are due to return to camp on Sunday while training will resume the following day.
The Buruj contingent, who jetted in aboard Emirates Airline, has been granted permission to rest while those who did not make the trip were granted to spend Sallah holiday with their family members.
According to the release from the office of the CEO, they are all expected to resume back to camp to commence their routine training while the management maps out their next line of action for the remainder of the year.
The Nigerian representatives at the two competitions emerged as runner-up at the English Super Cup held in Manchester after losing their final game to Rochdale FC, while they also won the challenge title after crashing out in the semi-final stage of the Welsh Super Cup in Cardiff.
More foreign outings to expose more players to international tourneys are being planned before the end of this year while the lessons learnt in the course of the tour of the United Kingdom will guide the management for a more successful and rewarding future trips.
