Anambra Police Boss, CP Abang Warns 228 New Officers On Corruption

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP John Abang, has warned 228 new Constables posted to the State Police Command to be civil to members of the public and refrain from corrupt practises while discharging their Constitutional duties.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed.He stated that on the 24th April, 2020, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP John B.Abang, received 228 Police Constables who passed out successfully from training at the Police College, Oji River in Enugu State.
The newly posted Police Constables, who are all indigenes of Anambra State,  were addressed by the Commissioner of Police at the State Command Headquarters, Awka, before being deployed to their respective Local Governments of origin in accordance with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.


Haruna Mohammed said that the CP warned them to be civil to members of the public when discharging their constitutional duties with humility, honesty and respect for Human Rights.He further stated that the CP warned the new Constables to refrain from all manner of corrupt practices and indiscipline, noting that anyone caught and found guilty would be shown the way out of the Force.
The CP congratulated them for the successful training and wished them a robust career in the Force.
