Anambra State Government, Rotech Energy Services Ltd Sign MoU To Build Luxury Estate At Nkwelle Ezunaka

It was a historical moment in Awka, the state capital, as Anambra State Government and Rotech Energy Services Ltd signed an M.O.U to develop a luxury estate in a 50 acre prime land situated at Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government area of Anambra State.

At the signing ceremony, Governor Willie Obiano, who signed on behalf of the State Government, was full of praise for Rotech Energy Services Ltd for taking advantage of the well situated security architecture and peace that is prevalent today in Anambra State to invest in such a luxury estate.

In his remarks, he noted that his mission statement, which encapsulates his ideals, is being taken advantage of by indigenous investors to come home and invest. His mission statement, which is, to create a socially stable, business friendly environment that will attract both indigenes and foreigners to seek wealth creation opportunities in Anambra State.

The CEO of Rotech Energy Services Ltd, Chief Austin Oguejiofor, (Onwa Enugwu Ukwu n’Umunri), took advantage of such charge from the Governor, and made a bold step to invest more than N4.3 Billion in real estate development in Anambra State with the Luxury Estate to be known at Nkwelle GRA Phase 1.

Chief Oguejiofor, in his remarks, noted that he had invested heavily in the real estate business especially in the Federal Capital Territory, where he has developed more than 3000 housing units for various agencies like the ICPC, and others.

“My companies have also developed other major luxury estates for the Police in Enugu and other private estates which are being patronised by various levels of Nigerians and others; I am happy that today history is being made as I have set my gaze into Anambra State to do what I have done in other places to contribute my quota in reducing the housing deficit that is currently ravaging Anambra State” Chief Oguejiofor concluded.

In his own remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Investment and Promotion Council, (ANSIPA), Chief Jide Ikeakor, appreciated His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano, for his encouragement and drive which have made their agencies sign many MOUs with different investors and companies willing to invest in Anambra State.

“To the CEO of Rotech Energy Services Ltd, we appreciate him for finding Anambra State worthy to invest such a huge amount of money. We use this medium to call on other rich and wealthy Anambrarians and none Anambrarians to utilize the opportunities the State Governor Willie Obiano has created to think home” Chief Ikeakor said.

In his vote of thanks, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Architect Michael Okonkwo, assured that he will take all necessary steps to ensure that the Estate is delivered exactly the way it is was conceived and within the time frame of 30 months.

Those present during the signing of the MOU included Chief Nnamdi Onukwuba, (Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture,) Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne, (Honourable Commissioner for Public Utilities and Barr. Stanley Mbamalu, the SSA Legal, who stood for the Commissioner for Justice.

Many prominent Anambra citizens also accompanied the CEO of Rotech Energy Services Ltd to the signing ceremony. They included His Excellency, Okwadike Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who was represented, Royal Highnesses Igwe Rowland Odegbo, (Igwe Nteje), Igwe Sir Ralph Ekpe, (Igwe Enugwu Ukwu), Igwe Fred Nwajagu, (Igwe Isuagu). Others were Ichie Ozughalu, (Onowu Abagana), Chief Sir Clem Nwafor, (Odu Enugwu Ukwu) and others.

It should be noted that earlier, Okwadike Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife has enjoined all Nigerians, especially Ndi Igbo to buy into the Estate as that will ensure that the investors will have more opportunities to invest more and that from all indications, the Estate will be the first of its kind, East of the Niger.
