Angry Woman Stabs Man For Touching Her

A 26-year old woman Owoyemi Tosin, has been arrested for inflicting injury on a man for allegedly touching her playfully in Lagos, Nigeria.
The victim, Daba Fola, was stabbed with a pair of scissors which caused deep injury in his hand.
He bled profusely and was rushed to a hospital for treatment after the alleged attack.
The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m. at Abaranje in Ikotun area where the suspect and the victim reside.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun division and Tosin was arrested.
Some of the residents who witnessed the assault said Tosin was angry because Fola touched her playfully.
Neither the complainant who is the victim nor the suspect was ready to divulge the particular part she was touched that triggered such extreme anger.
However, a police source said the injury was deep and serious and Tosin had committed a Criminal offence by her action and should face trial.
She was then charged before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo with assault under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A. A. Fashola granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Tosin was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail.
The matter has been adjourned till 21 January, 2017.
