The Awgbu Amaka Movement, a progressive association in Awgbu town, Anambra State, has congratulated the newly appointed Chief-of-staff to Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and the former Mayor of the London Borough of Brent, Ernest Nnama Ezeajughi, on his recent appointment.

The group stated that the appointment is well deserved as Ernest Nnama has always distinguished himself in leadership at all times and that Soludo made a perfect pick by choosing the pragmatic and ideological driven Ernest to coordinate the activities of his government.

Speaking further; the President of the group Chudison Onyemaechi stated that:”Ernest Nnama is a proud son of Awgbu, who has always placed Awgbu on the map. This is why the Awgbu Amaka Movement awarded him the Awgbu Global Ambassador earlier this year. He is an Awgbu made product that has gone to London and displayed excellence as the Mayor of Brent, once more, his experience has been called to action to serve Anambra State. I am glad that his touch of excellence will now be used to serve Anambra state, his motherland”.

Speaking further, a founding member of the group and a community stakeholder, Nwabueze Nwobele, was thankful to Professor Charles Soludo for finding their son worthy of appointment.

“As a group, we appreciate the erudite Professor, who is also the Governor, for finding our son worthy of appointment on merit. We cannot thank him enough. As a town, we are glad to donate Ernest to Anambra State to assist Professor Charles Soludo with his transformative agenda. We will give his administration all necessary support to succeed.”

The group also urged the government of Professor Charles Soludo to prioritise the construction of the Ndiukwuenu-Okpeze-Amaetiti-Awgbu Road, which has been abandoned for 8 years, as the road is vital to the economic growth of the Orumba area.
