Bash Ali Congratulates Buhari’s New Chief Of Staff, Gambari

Nigerian Boxing Ambassador, Bashiru Lawrence Ali (OON) has congratulated Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari over his appointment as the Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, announced the appointment last Wednesday, 13 May, 2020 at the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Prof Gambari, who hails from Kwara State, North Central Nigeria, succeeded erstwhile Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who died in April, 2020 on complications of novel Coronavirus pandemic.

Ali, popularly called Bash Ali, said in a letter of congratulations dated 18 May, 2020 that he welcomes Prof Gambari on board as the new Chief of Staff to President Buhari, adding that “by the Office you occupy, you are the newest member of Local Organising Committee (LOC) of Bash Ali Boxing Project, which was inaugurated in Abuja on May 21, 2019 by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Sports to host in Nigeria the first and what would be the most lucrative Guinness World Record Boxing Championship Bout in the world

“Sir, may Almighty Allah give you good health and a sound mind to correctly guide Mr. President. And may your tenure here bring many positive developments to the Presidency in particular and Nigeria in general.

“Once again, welcome on board as the new Chief of Staff and the newest member of the LOC of Bash Ali Boxing Project. We look forward to a beautiful relationship with you.”

The Boxing Ambassador, who is the reigning World Boxing Federation (WBF) cruiserweight champion gifted Prof Gambari with souvenir T-shirt designed for the Guinness World Record Boxing Championship fight along with the congratulatory letter, saying “enclosed is your Tee Shirt for the historic fight. Wear it in good health, Aamin.

Prof. Gambari held numerous leadership positions (both national and international) and garnered experiences that validate his competencies and suitability for his new national assignment.
