The management team, officials and players of Buruj Sports Academy are all over the moon following the decision of British High Commission to grant them entry visas to the United Kingdom to participate in this year’s edition of English Super Cup in Manchester and Welsh Super Cup in Cardiff.

While reacting to the latest development, the CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed, is full of gratitude to Almighty God for crowning the efforts of his management team with success just as he hailed the visa office officials, as well as both the Nigeria Football Federation and Lagos State Football Association, for their unflinching support in the process of procuring the documents.

According to him, it will be so easy to concentrate on other logistics demands as well as technical aspects of preparation now that the players, who are the real actors, have been granted their travel visas.

“We thank the Almighty God because almost all our players have been issued their travel visas by the British High Commission following our application. We also thank the officials for doing a very thorough job which led to granting our request on merit. This shows that we have genuine intention to help those young players to realise their dreams of playing where they can be scouted for soccer development and possibly contract signing.”

“We can’t also forget our friends and stakeholders in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), for supporting us by extending their hands of fellowship to us. They have been doing it before and we will continue to do everything within our power to lift the standard of the game from the grassroots by exposing young players to international tournaments” the Buruj CEO said.
