Buruj Sports Academy Files Audited Account For Its Year Ended 30 June 2022 With FIRS As Sole Tax Compliant

One of the foremost top academies in Nigeria with high ranking global reputation, Buruj Sports Academy, has filed its audited accounts and tax computations with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) on Thursday.
The renowned sports outfit filed their tax returns based on a self-assessment system using the TaxPro-Max platform after submitting her Tax computation for the 2022 year of assessment, the audited financial statements for the respective period (1st July 2021 – 30th June 2022) in conformity with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as prepared by Nigeria’s renowned accounting and audit firm, Bisi Agboola & Co., using the historical Cost Convention principle, also a duly completed and signed self-assessment form for CIT – (Company’s Income Tax) was duely submitted and also evidence of remittance of the income tax liability.
TaxPro-Max has become the channel for filing Naira-denominated tax returns with a user friendly dashboard to detail.
According to the MD/CEO of the Academy, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj, “I have always encouraged business owners over the years to emulate the habit of remitting their dues to the appropriate authorities both at the Federal level (FIRS) and at the state level with the (LIRS) as this further aids the development of the country as it improves the economic situation thereof as the “Pay Your Tax Syndrome” is a vital weapon that gives us a voice to shaping things when they go wrong”.
He further urged other football stakeholders, who have legal structures for their sports brands, to join hands with FIRS to make taxation the pivot of the nation’s development and economic growth.
“We must set things right irrespective of the limitation and short-comings of the governments as this goes a long way to pave way for vast development in the Nigerian Football system to enable it match up with the global trends” Dr Buruj concluded.
