The Conference of Local Government Chairmen in Lagos State has carpeted Sahara Reporters over the publication made by online news outfit on purported breach of NFIU guidelines by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In a statement made available to P.M.EXPRESS the Conference of Chairmen said, “For the avoidance of doubt, we categorically state that not only is the publication pungent as alleged, it is absolutely mischievous in content and intended to embarrass the Executive Governor and NFIU!

“The purported report on Alimosho Local Government funds by Sahara Reporters is most untrue, embarrassing and nauseating!”

“We respectfully submit that Lagos State Administration is years ahead  in financial probity and obligations to her surrogate Local Governments and has not, will NOT deliberately or otherwise commit or engage in practices that are not in tandem with NFIU or Local Government Administrations of Lagos State” the Chairmen concluded.
