Council Of Ezendigbo In Lagos State Passes Vote Of Confidence On BOT & Gets Set For Election Of New Executives

Council of Ezendigbo of the Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos State led by their Chairman, Eze Agbawodikeizu Nwalozie, has declared total support for the BOT led by Dr Jonathan Nnaji as it prepares to hold election to elect new executives members of Ezendigbo. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Council also warned those making unguided comments against the BOT to desist from such because the Council will not fold its hands and watch some set of people constituting nuisance and ridiculing the respected members of the board led by Dr Nnaji.

 

This was disclosed by the Council’s Secretary and Ezendigbo in Ikorodu North, Eze David Nwosu.

 

He stated that it was part of the outcome of the Council’s meeting held on Sunday 8th September, 2024, at the Palace of  their Chairman, Eze Nwalozie in Ikeja, Lagos attended by Ezendigbo that cut across the LCDAs in the State.

 

Eze Nwosu also stated that the Council resolved to give every support including moral and financial support to the BOT in order to resolve the crisis in the Igbo Speaking Community and ensure that it remains a united body and to ensure the conduct of elections in the Community.

 

He stated that the Council will work to strengthen the BOT and ensure that those members of the Board that were no longer alive will be replaced by people with integrity.

 

On the election of the Council of Ezendigbo, Eze Nwosu, who holds the title of Ezechichiri, disclosed that the Council is preparing to hold their election to elect new executives.

 

He explained that the election will be strictly for members and the doors of new membership is still open before the election and such Ezendigbo who wishes to become a member must get clearance from the BOT.

 

The decisions of the Council was confirmed by their Chairman,  Eze Nwalozie, who stated that the meeting was successful and attended by the members from various Local Councils and the BOT Chairman,  Dr Jonathan Nnaji.
