The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, may have mobilised the Police officers in the Command to rise to the challenge of protecting lives and property following the action of a female Divisional Police Officer in Lagos State recently.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police operatives from Ipaja Division led by CSP Tokumbo Abaniwonda have arrested a popular Pastor of a white garment church over his alleged involvement in vandalism in Lagos.
The suspect, Pastor Clement Oni, was arrested over his inordinate ambition to enrich himself through bunkering, pipeline vandalisation and petroleum product theft which has back fired.
It was gathered that the said ambitious Pastor Oni, who was said to have left his church members scattered and confused since his arrest, is now cooling off his heels at the Lagos State Police Command detention facility for interrogation.
He was arrested following an intelligence gathered, which prompted the DPO to lead operatives to his Celestial Church of Christ Parish premises, located at Imole Ayo, Peace Estate, Baruwa, inside Ipaja, Lagos State.
His alleged bunkering activity was exposed shortly after the inferno was ignited from the concealed drums and gallons of inflammable products carefully buried inside sand in the church premises.
It was confirmed that many people were feared dead while several others got injured in the inferno that engulfed the area on Thursday, December 5th, 2019.
P.M.EXPRESS correspondent also gathered that the activities of the suspected pipeline vandals had been going on unchallenged for long as residents were not willing to report to the appropriate authorities for fear of a reprisal attack from the suspected oil thieves.
A Police source said that the Pastor and his accomplices would be arraigned in Court when investigation is concluded.
