Contrary to the news making the rounds in the media space since the announcement of the defection of some members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the National Assembly, Senator Dr Lanre Tejuoso, the senator representing Ogun Central at the Red Chambers has cleared the air that he did not join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as had been circulated.

The medical doctor turned politician in an interview today at Rock City FM 101.9, said that he left his party APC but did not join the PDP as widely circulated as he was yet to made a decision on which political platform to join.

In the interview, Senator Tejuoso said that his decision to leave the party was coincidental as he never planned or discussed the issue of defection with any of his distinguished colleagues. Rather he took the decision in view of the fact that the senate was going on recess to recovene on 25th September, 2018, by which time the party’s primary elections must have been held.

The Egba prince while answering some questions during the interview explained that he was even closer to President Muhammadu Buhari than the Senate President. He equally reitirated that Gov Ibikunle Amosun remained his leader and their personal relationship was intact

Senator Tejuoso said that in the days ahead he will make his position known to his teeming supporters as to his next political decision and direction.
