She Was Very Easy To Penetrate – Says Man, 21, Arrested Over Sex With Girl, 13

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged romp took place at Olorunsoji Street, Mushin area of Lagos, where they reside and were eventually caught.

The suspect, Azeez, was arrested by the Police operatives from Olosan Division and later handed over to the Gender Section of the Police Command over the alleged defilement.
It was gathered that Azeez reportedly lured the victim into his apartment, got her confused and then engaged her in sex.

While still in the act, one of their neighbours caught them. He informed the victim’s parents, who interrogated her and she confessed that she was lured into the act by Azeez.

During interrogation, Azeez admitted that he actually slept with the victim but that they agreed on engaging in the sex romp and he had no difficulty penetrating her as she did not complain during the act.
However, the Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because the victim was a minor.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E Nwaka, denied him bail and ordered that he should be remanded in prison custody.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while the defendant will be in prison custody pending the outcome of DPP’s advice.
The matter was adjourned till 4th November, 2019, for report of DPP’s advice to be available.
The defendant may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends that he should be tried for defilement.
