Ekwunife Facilitates Empowerment Training For Constituents Again, Reaffirms Commitment To Human Capital Development

In the spirit of yuletide, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has once again put smiles on the faces of her teeming constituents by facilitating yet another far-reaching empowerment programme in the zone.

 

The programme which is based on the training of healthcare workers on high impact Obstetrics was designed to leverage on the pool of experienced medics and specialists to deliver high-quality healthcare, create awareness and solutions to Obstetrics and other related medical issues.

The ongoing programme which is the 20th empowerment exercise of the quintessential lawmaker had more than 800 participants selected across the zone. The training is in line with the federal lawmaker’s commitment towards offering free medical service and improving the quality of life of her constituents.

Recall that Ekwunife has since the inception of the 9th Assembly facilitated different empowerment targeted at the youth, women, widows, indigents, stakeholders and community leaders of various communities. The senator has also employed the instrumentality of legislation to advance socio-economic development through infrastructure, education, impactful bills and motions, for the betterment of the constituents.

 

While addressing newsmen, a participant, Somtochukwu Achonye, described Ekwunife as the “New Face of Representation” in Nigeria, adding that other lawmakers should emulate her. She thanked the Senator for prioritizing the health sector and assemblage of the highly medical professionals for exercise.

Earlier, Ekwunife assured participants of providing more dividends of democracy through responsible and reliable legislative engagements. She reiterated that constituency funds will always be judiciously put to good use into projects and programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
