She described her husband as man of the people and that his royal commitment to serve the people earned him a general acceptance in the community even before he was made a king.
Queen Nwokedi explained that his magnanimous act has continued to increase over the years as he makes it a point of duty to bless the widows and the less priviledged even beyond his jurisdiction of rule.
“His act of magnanimity cannot be quantified, she said. He is a peace maker, a disciplined husband, a man of the people and a royal father of wisdom.”
Chief V.C. Uzoh also expressed his profound wishes for the celebrant. He said that Eze Nwokedi is a brother with a large heart; he exhibits unique leadership qualities that stand him out amongst his peers. He wished him long life in good health.
Eze Nwokedi, in his remarks, thanked the guests for honouring his birthday celebration and explained that he always celebrates his birthday because it is always a day to be thankful to God.
He said, “He who is dead has no opportunity to thank God for life and as such, celebrating a special day such as this creates more hope for greater things to happen as the year goes by”.
He stated that he will be celebrating his 2023 New Yam festival in September and it will be unique as he will be empowering 170 widows as well as the less priviledged as has been done previously.
