Fire Razes Petrol Station In Onitsha

There was a fire outbreak in Onitsha, Anambra State on Wednesday night. The ugly incident occurred at Mobil Petrol Station at DMGS roundabout, Onitsha. 

The fire incident was said to have been caused by a petrol tanker loaded with fuel. The filling station got razed and all the buildings close to it were also affected by the time the fire fighters could arrive the scene. It almost affected the multi floored Kamo Plaza before it was contained. Buildings, properties and valuables were lost to the inferno.

Residents, who expressed regret about the damages caused by the fire incident, suggested that filling stations must not be built within the environment of residential areas to avoid situations like this..
