Fire Service Director, 6 Others Kidnapped

The Director of Fire Service in Lagos and six others have reportedly been kidnapped by unknown armed bandits.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in Imorodu area of Lagos and was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police through the office of Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana.

He said that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu, has ready tasked the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit to ensure that they rescued the seven persons abducted by the hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers.
DSP Elkana stated that abductors struck on 6th April, 2019, at about 8pm along Iwoye Bridge, Itokin-Epe Road, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The CP in company of the Tactical Unit Commanders visited the crime scene and assured the family of the victims that the Command was leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the victims were rescued unhurt.

Those abducted included Rasaki Musibau, Mufutau Adams, Funmilayo Adelumo, Asiogu Martha, Lasisi Muka, and two others. Vehicles recovered from the scene included Toyota Sienna, Toyota Corolla and Opel SUV.

Meanwhile, the State Command has assured Lagosians of their safety at all times as it has intensified patrols and surveillance along Itokin-Epe Road, Ketu, Ereyun and other major highways in the state.
