Gboyega Oyetola Wins Osun APC Guber Primary Election

Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, the Chief of Staff to Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has emerged the winner of the just concluded Osun APC Governorship primaries held on Friday.

He defeated other 16 aspirants including the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuff, and Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Dr Najeem Salam, who participated in the exercise which took place in the 332 wards across all the Local Government Areas of the state.

In the direct primary, Oyetola polled 127,017 votes as against Lasun who scored 21,000 and Nojeem scored 17,000 votes.

The election is scheduled to hold on September 22.
