Governor Soludo Commissions Solution Market and Park, Allocates Free Stalls, Parking Spaces
Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has commissioned the Solution Market and Park in Ekwulobia, with free stalls and parking spaces allocated to the people.
The governor through the project, aims to transform the area by addressing the chaotic conditions on the highways and enhancing the overall aesthetics and functionality of the Ekwulobia flyover.
According to Izuchukwu Adichie, Senior Special Adviser on New Media to Governor Charles Soludo, the new open stalls and park which features a park and shop, solar powered light, pipe-borne water, relaxation centre and conveniences, are designed to solve traffic bottlenecks around Ekwulobia, a crucial junction that has been transformed into a world class flyover, plagued by heavy vehicular and foot traffic.
Adichie said that by building a conducive space for commercial activities, the governor aims to discontinue commercial bus services at the Ekwulobia flyover, thereby streamlining traffic flow and reducing the daily gridlock that has affected the area.
To further support petty traders, stalls within the Solution Market have been allocated to vendors freely, at no cost. This compassionate and empathetic gesture not only encourages small business owners but also ensures a conducive environment that benefits both the urban centre and its visitors.
As Ekwulobia embarks on this journey of regeneration, the impact of the Solution Market and Park promises to be felt in improved economic activities, reduced congestion, and a renewed sense of pride in the urban renewal.
Also, at the 13th Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) meeting held at the new government house called the Light House, Awka, on Monday, June 30, 2025, the Council approved the construction of Onwurah Street, beside Township Stadium, Awka, by the Anambra Road Management Agency (ARMA), to give the place an aesthetic look.
