Today, we celebrate a remarkable individual, Amb Sir Eleazar Ogbonna, Chairman of the Imo State Sports Commission, whose selfless dedication to sports development in Imo State has left an indelible mark on the lives of countless Imo youths.
 
As a retired professional footballer and therefore, a veteran of football, Sir Amb Eleazar Ogbonna has traversed the beautiful game, inspiring generations with his passion, skills, and perseverance.
Sir Amb Eleazar Ogbonna’s transition to Sports administration has been seamless, driven by an unwavering commitment to nurturing young talents and promoting sports excellence. This is a man who wouldn’t mind spending his own personal funds just to provide the platform that satisfies the yearnings of those who idolize him and desire to make it big in the Sports world.
A multiple SWAN Award winner, Sir Amb Eleazar Ogbonna’s accolades are a testament to his tireless efforts in advancing the sports landscape in Imo State and beyond. His influence extends far beyond the sports arena, as he has become a beacon of hope and inspiration for youths, embodying the values of hard work, discipline, and patriotism.
