It was another historical milestone in the politics of Ikeja Constituency 2 today, Friday 3rd January, 2020, when the PDP Candidate for Ikeja Constituency 2 in the last General elections, Alhaji Lateef Onisuna paid a Courtesy Visit to the Lawmaker representing the Constituency at Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK).

The duo had contested fiercely against each other in the last General election.
But during the March 2019 State House of Assembly Elections, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (popularly called ARK) contested on the platform of APC and won overwhelmingly, while Alhaji Onisuna contested for the same seat on the platform of the PDP but lost gallantly. The grassroots politician later defected to APC shortly after the election.

However today, another interesting chapter was opened in the politics of Ikeja Constituency 2 when Onisuna paid a courtesy visit to Hon. ARK in his office at Lagos State House of Assembly.

It was the first time the two politicians will see eye-to-eye in flesh and blood.

Alhaji Onisuna, who is now a full-fledged member of the APC, came in company with top officials of Forum of Past Councillors, Hon. Edward Aragbonfoh (who is currently a Senior Legiative Aide to the Hon. Speaker of Nigeria’s House of representatives) and Hon. M.B. Seidun.

During the eventful visit, Hon. ARK seized the opportunity to formally welcome Alhaji Onisuna to the APC political family and also appreciated his gesture of paying him a courtesy visit.

In his remark, Alhaji Onisuna (also called De Guvnor) formally congratulated Hon. ARK on his victory at the polls and commended him for the high quality representation he has been providing so far.
He also seized the opportunity to commend Hon. ARK for his Christmas/End-of-the-year Mega Packages for the Constituency, especially a personal Christmas gift earlier sent to him by Hon. ARK.
The visit also coincided with the another one by officials of Adron Homes, who came on courtesy visit to Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Lands.

It was indeed a historic visit, a great and healthy development in Ikeja Constituency 2 politics that really showcased the liberal nature of Lagos State politics.

Since the start of his second term last June, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu has increased the tempo and quality of his representation tremendously and this is currently attracting torrents of commendations for his Constituents.
