The lawmaker representing Somolu Constituency 01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to residents of the constituency following his reelection for another term, describing the victory as a reflection of the people’s trust and confidence in his leadership.

Orekoya, who secured victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, said the overwhelming support from party faithful and residents of Somolu had further strengthened his resolve to continue delivering quality representation and impactful grassroots development.

In a statement issued shortly after the exercise, the lawmaker thanked constituents for standing firmly behind him, assuring them that he would not take their support for granted.

According to him, the renewed mandate serves as both an honour and a challenge to redouble his commitment to the growth and development of Somolu.

“I am sincerely grateful to the good people of Somolu for once again reposing their confidence in me. This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to every resident, supporter and stakeholder who believes in our collective vision for a better constituency,” Orekoya stated.

He also commended party leaders, political associates, youths, women groups and grassroots mobilisers for their dedication and support throughout the process, noting that their commitment played a critical role in the outcome of the primary election.

The lawmaker pledged to continue championing policies and programmes aimed at improving infrastructure, youth empowerment, education and social welfare within the constituency.

He assured residents that his next term would witness greater inclusiveness and more people-oriented initiatives, stressing that governance remains a shared responsibility between elected representatives and the people.

Orekoya further urged residents to remain united and supportive, emphasizing that sustained cooperation would help fast-track development and ensure greater progress for Somolu in the years ahead.
