How I Planted House Maids To Steal Valuables – Suspect
MICHAEL AKINOLA

A 37-year old man, Francis Okputu, who reportedly specialized in assisting people to get maids with the motive of using them to steal and abscond with money, jewelry and other valuables, has been arrested in Lagos.
The suspect, Francis, was said to have been doing this since 2003. In May, 2019, he reportedly planted a house maid, Joy Onoz, and instructed her to steal from her boss. He also ordered her to help him get her boss’ picture.
Francis was said to have told the house maid, Joy, to steal gold jewelries from her boss which would be replaced with copper. He was said to have planned to take the picture of Joy’s boss to a prophetess, who would help him bewitch it and make the boss not to question any of the girl’s deed after stealing her things.
Having been taken good care of by her boss, Joy immediately told her boss of the plans. Her boss then told her to play along with the arrangement with the suspect, Francis. Joy was then given some foreign currencies, jewelries and her boss’ picture and told to contact Francis.
The suspect, unaware of the plan by Joy and her boss, instructed her to meet him at Iyana-Ipaja to handover her loots to him. Joy followed his instruction and showed up at the agreed spot. As Francis showed up to pick the items, he was arrested by the Police.
After his arrest and interrogation, the decoy team of RRS visited some other house maids, whom Francis had planted in different part of the State to question them.
