As Nigeria marks another Democracy Day, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has extended warm greetings to all Nigerians and salutes the courage, sacrifices, and resilience of the patriots who fought for the democratic freedoms we enjoy today.
Comrade Dauda said, “Democracy is not merely about elections; it is about participation, inclusion, accountability, and ensuring that every citizen has a voice in shaping our collective future. In this democracy, we are all stakeholders, and nobody should be left behind regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnicity, or social status”.
“As we reflect on our democratic journey, let us renew our commitment to unity, peaceful coexistence, and active civic engagement. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous nation where the dividends of democracy are felt by all.”
Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria.
God Bless Ikeja.
God Bless Lagos State.
God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
