A self proclaimed Islamic cleric, Alfa Isiaka Adisa, 38 and his friend, Rasheed Kasali, 39, have been arrested in Lagos for debasing a 13-year old girl by sucking her private part and penetrating her anus for sexual desire.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Surulere area where the defendants and the victim’s parents reside.

Alfa Isiaka, who resides at No.11, Josun Street and Kasali, who lives at No. 18b, Dipo Olubi Street, all in Surulere, allegedly lured the victim into an apartment, forced her to remove her pant and they sucked her private part in turns. Thereafter, they penetrated both her private part and anus before they allowed her to go but warned her not to tell anyone what happened.

It was gathered the victim though exhausted kept the dastardly act to herself before the parents asked to know the cause of her change of attitude and behavior. She then opened up and revealed what happened to her.
The matter was reported to the police at Ilupeju Division; the Islamic cleric and the other suspect were arrested and taken to the police station for interrogation.
The matter was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for further investigation. It was there the police found them culpable for defilement. They were then charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Supol E. Ayorinde, asked the Court that the matter be referred to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered their remand in prison custody without an option of bail.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds them culpable and recommends their trial. They may likely face life imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty of defilement by the Court.
