I’ve Been Sleeping With My Daughter For 3 Years – Father

The father of a 13-year old girl, Mr. Eshiet Promise, has confessed that he was so tempted by his daughter’s beauty and was forced to be sleeping with her for the past three years in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ogbeni Street in Sangotedo in Ajah area of Lagos where they resided.

He revealed that he started sleeping with her daughter since the year 2015; he deflowered her when she was 10 before the information leaked and he was arrested over the dastardly act.
The victim became tired of the trauma and exposed him which led to his arrest by the police in the area.
The matter was transferred to the police operatives at Gender Section of the State Command, Lagos; Mr. Promise was arrested and detained at the Command. The victim was also rescued and sent to protective custody for rehabilitation.

During interrogation, Mr. Promise further said that when he was doing it, it never occurred to him that it was an abomination but now having reflected on what he did he was ashamed of the act.
The police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court for defilement.
The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, informed the court that the defendant was the biological father of the victim and the matter was a case of incest.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, denied taking his plea and bail but ordered him to be remanded in prison custody.
The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate his file and send to DPP for advice.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the outcome of DPP advice will determine the fate of Mr. Promise and if he was found culpable, the matter will be transferred to the State High Court.
Mr. Promise may spend the rest of his life in prison if he was found guilty because it was a case of felony which attracted life sentence.
