Kidnappers Nabbed Over Murder Of Female Banker After Collecting N14m Ransom

Two suspected kidnappers, Monday Egbe, 32, and Kenneth Nnoga, 28, have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a female Bank Manager, Ifeoma and murdering her after collecting N14m ransom from her family in Anambra State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in Onitsha town, Anambra State, where the kidnappers abducted the deceased and kept her in captivity before her family paid the ransom money yet they murdered her in a gruesome manner.

 

This was disclosed by the Anambra State Police Command, which confirmed the arrest of the suspects while others were said to be at large.

 

In a statement issued by the Police, it stated that:

“Today, 1st June,2025, Police operatives from the Command, while on diligent investigations, trailed two of the suspects, Monday Egbe, 32, and Kenneth Nnoga, 28, to their criminal hideout in a neighbouring state and eventually arrested them in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a female Banker in Onitsha, Anambra State. ”

“Recall that on January 13, 2025, the lifeless body of the victim, Ifeoma, was found along Nnobi Road with her eyes tied after the abductors had collected the ransom of N14m from the deceased’s family.”

“The Command confirms that the suspects are currently undergoing interrogations for more insights into the modus operandi of the criminal gang and the possible arrest of other gang members.”

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has assured that the Command shall continue to live up to its mandate of protecting of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra and residents and to ensure that all cases are followed to a logical conclusion and justice served” the Police stated.
