Lady Arrested For Battering Pastor In A Public Brawl

A 28-year old lady, Nkechi Ekechukwu, displayed the enormity of her strength on one Pastor Gozie Ezenwunne after she attacked and battered him in a public brawl in Lagos.

Pastor Ezenwunne was seriously injured and was rushed to a hospital with the help of their neighbours who offered assistance to save his life.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that as Nkechi vented her anger on Pastor Ezenwunne, she used a bucket and smashed his nose which caused heavy bleeding before he was rushed to a hospital.

The incident happened at Nolo Odudu Street, Agric in Ojo, Lagos where they resided.

What would have made Nkechi to have descended on the victim to the extent that she inflicted serious injuries on him was not yet known.
However, it was scooped that on the day the incident happened, the suspect and the victim had exchange of words. In the process, Nkechi grabbed him, beat him mercilessly and used a bucket to injure his nose.

The matter was reported to the police, Nkechi was arrested and charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for assault.

She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Benson Emuehi did not put any objection on her bail but asked the court to give a short adjournment for trial in the interest of justice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule Amzat granted Nkechi bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

However, she was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5 July, 2018.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered it was not the first instance a woman was arrested for beating up a man which seemed like the trend. Recently, another victim had to cry out after he suffered constant beating from his wife and reported the assault to the police. The wife was arrested and charged before Ogba Magistrates court, Lagos from where she was remanded in the prison custody.
