Lagos CP, T.B.Joshua To Storm Journalists, Police Novelty Match

The police and journalists have concluded plans to play a novelty match as a way of building cordial relationship and synergizing against crime and its attendant effect on the youths in Lagos.
The match has been slated for March 17, 2018 at the Police Children’s School field located at Goodluck Jonathan Estate in Idimu, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Lagos State Commissioner of the Police, CP imohimi Edgal, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua, traditional rulers, captains of industry and other stakeholders will be in attendance.
It was also gathered that youths across the state have also been mobilised in line with the objectives of the match.
The coordinator for journalists, Mr. Oludairo Daniel while expressing the readiness of the media practioners explained the motive behind the football match. Mr. Daniel said the match will enhance the synergy between the police and journalists towards the fight against various crimes in the state. He said the match will still be used to tell the youths that all eyes are on them and they should refrain from committing crimes.
In the same vein, the coordinator of the police players, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Emos Oria expressed their readiness and said that they have positioned the officers for the match.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Area M Command, ACP Augustines Akika while acknowledging the importance of the match to the stakeholders said that the reason behind the match was to sensitize the public especially the youths through sports in order to disabuse their minds from crime.
The football match was in line with the promise the CP had made when he first visited Area M Command, Alimosho LGA to organise football matches amongst youths in order to sensitize them not to get involved in cultism and other forms of criminality in the state.
