A 29-year old man, Afeez Saka, has been arrested in Lagos after he allegedly trapped a 10-year old girl and forcefully engaged her in a sex romp.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Lisabi Street, off Old Otta Road, Mosalashi area of Alagbado, Lagos State, where they reside.

It was gathered that Saka lured the girl into his apartment, forcefully engaged her in sex romp and thereafter dispossessed her of a bag containing N26,000 and phone and then sent the girl away early in the morning having satisfied himself.
The victim went home and told her parents what happened and the matter was reported to the Police. The Police then trailed Saka, eventually arrested and detained him at the Station for investigation.

After investigation, the Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
He was also charged for stealing and was granted bail on the charge of stealing in the sum of N50,000 with surety in like sum.
However, the prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer to charge of defilement against Saka to the DPP because the victim was still a minor.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O Sule-Amzat, then ordered him remanded in prison custody without an option of bail and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The defendant was remanded in prison custody pending when the report of the DPP will be ready.
The matter was adjourned till 2nd December, 2019.
