Man, 38, Fondles Breasts, Lures Girl, 13, Into Sex

The Police in Lagos have arrested a 38-year old man, who allegedly lured a 13-year old girl into sex, after he reportedly got her confused by fondling her breasts.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Taiwo Lane in Ilasamaja area of Lagos, where they reside.

It was gathered that the suspect, Emmanuel Chukwunonye, lured the victim into his apartment, used words of mouth to confuse her before moving his hand to her breasts, which made her more confused and she was raped.
When she realised herself, she reported what happened to her parents insisting that she was raped.
The matter was then reported to the Police and the suspect, Emmanuel, was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command.
During interrogation, Emmanuel admitted that he slept with her but with her consent while the victim insisted that she was raped.
The Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Christopher John, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because the matter involved a minor.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E Nwaka, ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while the matter was adjourned till 2nd September, 2019.
