A 57-year old man, Emmanuel Agwu has landed in trouble after he was caught having sex with an 8-year old girl in his apartment in Lagos.

The incident happened at Busari Street in Igando in the outskirts of Lagos where both the suspect and the victim’s parents resided.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the residents were still surprised and wondered what would have been the attraction for Agwu to engage the little girl in a sex romp as he was married and the age difference between him and the victim was about 49 Years. Some of the residents suspected that he might have done it for ritual purposes when they considered how it all happened.

However, when the victim’s parents returned from work and were informed about what happened, they reported the matter to the police at Igando Division, Agwu was arrested and detained at the police station.

It was gathered that at the police station Agwu denied engaging in the act but had to shut up his mouth when the victim was brought before him and she narrated what happened.

Agwu was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for the alleged offence.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. F.O. Abegunde Davis granted Agwu bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 26 February, 2018.
