A 64-year old man, Festus Babalola, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly touching a 13-year old girl’s breasts and pressing his dick on her buttocks in order to satisfy his sexual desires.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victim exposed him by raising alarm.
The incident happened at Ogunmuyiwa Street, Ajasa, Command, Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the man lured the victim and tried seducing her by touching her breasts and pressing his dick on her buttocks.
However, the victim resisted him and raised alarm, which attracted other neighbours and the matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division.
Thus, the man was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct. He was found culpable after rounds of interrogation and then charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Festus Babalola ‘M’ on the 4th day of January, 2025, at about 1400hrs, at Ogunmuyiwa Street, Ajasa, Command, Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did unlawfully touch the victim aged 13 years sexually by touching her breasts and using your penis to touch her buttocks without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 263(1) and (2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
