A 39-year old man, Paul Okoro, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he went to his erstwhile lover who was married to another man to take custody of the set of twin in their marriage.

He was arrested and charged for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by demanding for the kids from his ex-lover, now Mrs. Taiwo Adekoya.

The incident happened at Adewumi Street in Ejigbo, Lagos where Mrs. Taiwo resides with her husband.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Okoro and Taiwo had dated before they separated and Taiwo got married to her husband. Not quite long after she got married, she became pregnant and had a set of twins for her husband.

However, the joy in their marriage turned sour on 20th December, 2018, when Okoro surfaced and demanded for the children claiming that he was the father of those children. Okoro was said to have had a dream where he claimed it was revealed to him that the twins belong to him and that by the time Taiwo got married he might have impregnated her.

The matter was reported to the Ejigbo Police Division; Okoro was arrested for his conduct and taken to the police station. At the police station, he was asked to show proof of his claims and he said that it was revealed to him in a dream that those children belonged to him. However, the police found him culpable and charged him before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause the breach of public peace.

He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector G. Simon, did not oppose his being granted bail. Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni, granted Okoro bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 4th February, 2019.
