Man Fondles Breasts, Tricks Girl, 15, Into Sex Romp

A 15-year girl was allegedly raped in Lagos after she was tricked into sex by a man who fondled her breasts and got her confused.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident reportedly happened at Ebun Close, Casso area of Alagbado, Lagos where they reside.

A man, one Charles Okpara, has been arrested in connection with the alleged defilement.

The 34-year Okpara allegedly lured the victim into his apartment, used words of mouth to confuse her before he then fondled her breasts, got her more confused and reportedly raped her.
However, after the romp, she was said to have regained her senses, cried and raised alarm. She then informed her parents about what happened and how she was raped by Okpara.

The matter was reported to the police and Okpara was arrested. After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because it involved a minor.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O Sule-Amzat, ordered the defendant, Okpara, to be remanded in prison custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd July, 2019.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds Okpara culpable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence. And if he is tried and found guilty, he may spend several years in prison.
