Man Jilted By Lady, Commits Suicide

A 25-year old man, Kehinde Musa, has terminated his life in Lagos by drinking a poisonous insecticide known as Sniper after he was dumped by his lover, Rashidat Damilola.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 56 Modele Street, Sururele area of Lagos, where he resided.
It was gathered that the late Musa sent a text message to her lover, 21-year old Rashidat Damilola, indicating his intention to commit suicide because she dumped him for another lover. He then locked up himself in his room, drank the poisonous substance and eventually died.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Bala Elkana. He said that on 18th September, 2019, at about 18:30hours, the Surulere Police Station received information that one Kehinde Musa, 25, of No 56 Modele Street, Surulere, locked himself up in the room and drank a poisonous substance known as Sniper. He was rushed to the hospital but died on arrival.
DSP Elkana stated that preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased person had earlier sent a text message to his girlfriend, Rasheedat Damilola Animashaun, 21, informing her that he will take his life since she had decided to quit the relationship.
He explained that the said girlfriend promptly informed his family about the text message which he sent to her and they rushed to his house, broke the door and found him unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital but was unable to make it. His corpse has been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy report.
