Man Uses Boss N500,000 To Play Gamble

A young man, Achor Victor, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he wanted to suddenly become rich and used his boss N500,000 to play gamble in order to win more money but it eventually failed.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Mushin area of Lagos, where they are doing business.

It was gathered that the boss, Arafo Chibuike, gave Victor the money in question for an undisclosed business transaction. By the time he was handed the money, he got information that there were sure bet numbers that will win at the end of the day.
Victor was said to have thought that if he staked the whole money and won the bet, he will automatically became very rich.
However, after staking the money, he lost all. When his boss asked to know about the business transaction he had directed him to do, he informed his boss that he lost the money.
When asked what happened to the money, he explained that he used the whole money to play gamble with the hope that he will win but eventually lost the bet.
He was handed over to Police at Olosan Division, who interrogated, found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and stealing.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. A. Koti, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. M.O. Tanimola, granted Victor bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 21st October, 2019.
