The raging feud between the Chairman, Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria, TOOAN, Azeez Ajibola a.k.a Istijabah and the Chairman of Lagos State Park Management Committee, Musilu Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo, has finally been settled.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the needed peace agreement was facilitated by the Liaison Officer of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, AIG Hakeem Odumosu (Rtd.)
With this peace agreement, the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria, TOOAN, under the leadership of Azeez Ajibola a.k.a Istijabah, among others are now officially brought under the Lagos State Parks Management Committee.
The long awaited reconciliatory move, which will calm the tension among the parties involved, was brokered at the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation office at Alausa.
It would be recalled that the activities of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, was suspended by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, due to a long-standing rift, which was almost leading to complete breakdown of law and order in the state.
Speaking on the reported peace agreement, one of the aides of the TOOAN Chairman, Istijabah, said, “The Lagos State Government has already created the Lagos State Parks Management Committee with AIG Hakeem Odumosu (Rtd.) as the Liaison Officer between the union and the state. We are presently now under the Lagos Parks Management Committee not in the union”.
“Both MC Oluomo and my boss, Istijabah, are now working together. There is no more problem. We have to work together to become one. That is our own perspective” he concluded.
