MCC Gbaja Receives Medical Items From Rotary Club, Surulere
The Maternal and Child Centre (MCC), Gbaja, Surulere, has received a donation of medical items from the Rotary Club of Surulere North East, District 9112
Members of the club visited the hospital recently to make a donation of a Salter Weighing Scale, a Suction machine, Drip stands, and accessories.
The District Governor, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, alongside the President, Rotarian Francis Abuah; Chartered President, Rotarian Murtala Bankole and Past Assistant Governor, Rotarian Olubunmi Taiwo and others handed over the items to the Medical Director/CEO of the Hospital, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin, at the facility premises in Gbaja, Surulere.
Receiving the medical items, Dr. Sojinrin thanked the Rotarians for their kind gesture and assured them that the donated items would be used for the purpose they were meant for.
He also used the occasion to appeal to philanthropists and other good-spirited organisations to emulate the Rotarians by donating generously to the hospital, for the sake of mothers and children who need the items whenever they visit for medical attention.
Also in attendance during the ceremony were the hospital management staff including the Head of Paediatric Department, Dr. Adesina Adesuwa, representative of the Apex nurse, Nwaodu Blessing and the Head of Social Welfare Department, Mr. Mojeed Olabode, who also appreciated the Rotarians for their generous gifts.
The event was concluded with the planting of the Symbol of Hope and the Unity Tree within the hospital premises by the visiting Rotarians.
