The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has described the destruction of her campaign posters and billboards by the opposition as an act that is incapable of stopping her from emerging victorious in the February 25th general elections.

Ekwunife, who spoke earlier on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, during an interactive radio programme on Unizik 94.1 FM Awka, expressed confidence that the people of the senatorial district will re-elect her to return to the senate. She noted that her posters and billboards are etched in the hearts of the people having served them meritoriously in the last three and half years in office.

The federal lawmaker who is running on her sterling record of performance challenged her opponents whom she noted have helplessly resorted to propaganda, slander and blackmail to bring forward their records of performance for the people to compare and contrast.

“At my level in politics, there is hardly anything I’ve not seen. The propaganda and fake news my opponents are sponsoring on social media arise from the fact that they cannot compete with me on issues relevant to the development of Anambra Central Senatorial District. My developmental achievements in the last three and half years have weakened their competition, hence they are now solely focused on pitching my candidacy against the candidacy of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi who is seeking to fulfill his destiny just as I’m seeking to fulfill mine.”

The Senator better known as Madam Project stated that she remains focused on propagating her message of consolidation and that her spirit will never be dampened by the efforts of detractors who out of the fear of defeat, have embraced campaign of calumny. “I have toured the 59 communities in Anambra Central and in each community I visit, I present my scorecard and records of achievements. These achievements are visible and verifiable. I am confident that Ndi Anambra Central will vote for me as no one changes a winning team”, Ekwunife added

The Chairman Senate committee on Science, Technology and Innovation, went further to state that she ranks 3rd amongst the Senator’s with the highest number of bills and motions, challenging her opponents to show the impact of their contributions in the National Assembly.

The PDP Senatorial Candidate concluded by urging the people of the Senatorial District to come out enmass on February 25th to once again give her the mandate to continue to serve them, promising that her re-election will give her the platform to make greater impact on the lives of the people.
