New Exco Emerges In Green Field Estate As Chief Monday Akunna’s Exco Bows Out In Grand Style

It was pomp and pageantry at the Green Field Estate In Ago Okota, Lagos, as the residents converged for the inauguration of the new executives led by Chief Ifeanyi Ezike as the immediate past Executives led by  Chief Monday Akunna bow out in grand style.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the inauguration took place last Thursday at the Green Field Estate’s multi million Naira Secretariat built by the outgoing Chairman, Chief Akunna and his executive members with massive support from the residents.

 

Those who were in attendance included the BOT members led by their Chairman, Prince Nixon Okwara, landlords, residents, friends, wellwishers among others.

 

The BOT Chairman, Prince Okwara, described the transition as symbolic because the performed outgoing Chairman handed over to another visionary Chairman that will take the estate to the next level.

 

Prince Okwara, who was the foundation Chairman of the estate, commended the outgoing Chairman, Chief Akunna for his strides during his tenure.

He noted his outstanding performance  under four years, stating that he was able to transform the estate by building a befitting secretariat, construction of drainages and roads and facelifts of the the entire estate.

 

So the event was a double celebration of the outgoing and incoming executives and the residents were  happy over the leadership in the estate.

He explained that he knew that the estate will be great based on the quality of the Landlords and what was needed at the beginning was trusted leadership.

 

Okwara explained that as the foundation Chairman, the estate faced some challenges like land grabbers, documentations and provisions of basic infrastructure but through the efforts of the Landlords, they were able to position the estate as one of the best in Lagos State.

 

He urged the residents to support the new executives as they had supported the past administration and he gave assurance that the leadership will perform with the support of the residents.

 

On the conduct of the election, Okwara described it as free and fair and the number of votes garnered by the chairman showed that majority of the residents were in total support and he believes that the new Chairman will perform creditably well and surpass the immediate leadership.

 

On the expectation of the new executives, Okwara stated that Chief Ezike is a visionary leader and he will perform well like his predecessor and has started on a very good note by promising 18 hours of power supply in the estate.

He explained that regular power supply is achievable in the estate and the new Chairman has promised to reach out to the Independent Power companies to work out modalities to have stable power supply in the estate with the support of the residents.

 

He also urged the residents to continue to support the Lagos State Government and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and providing leadership model for other people to emulate in Nigeria.

3. Vice Chairman 2: Njoku Chigozie Cyprian

4. Secretary: Ogochukwu Eseka

5. Assistant Secretary: Esther Chizoba Onuoha Iloegbunam

6. Financial Secretary: Dcn. Simon Osigwe

7. Assistant Financial Secretary:Kunle Michael Ogunsanmi

8. Treasurer: Olusola Lawrence Odediran

9. P.R.O.: Prince Uzo Ezulike

10. Welfare 1: Obi Arinze Uzochukwu

11. Welfare 2: Oti Debora Obiageri

12. Provost: Peter Chinweike Okonkwo
