Nollywood Actress Arrested For Armed Robbery

A 32-year old female Nollywood movie act, Miss Akilape Iyabode, has been arrested with 93 master keys which she allegedly used to burgle and carted away properties worth about N7m from a house and escaped in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Mutairu Street in Shaginsha and Ayodele Okoowo Street, Gbagada area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Iyabode drove to the residence of one Mrs. Oyinlola Tuga when she was not around in the afternoon and used the master keys to open her apartment. She was said to have carted away some items worth the said amount and escaped.

Some of the items stolen include gold jewelries, clothes, bags, perfumes, shoes and other items worth the amount.
While the police were still investigating the robbery, Iyabode went again to Shangisha and used the same master keys to open the apartment of one Mr. Adeboye Ladimi. Unfortunately for her, someone was inside when she drove to the place and opened the apartment. She was held and handed over to the police at Isheri Division and the 93 master keys were also recovered from her as exhibits.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the victim, Mrs. Tuga, got information about her arrest on Facebook and went to the police to inform them that she was also a victim.
Iyabode was charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for burglary and stealing.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Benson Emuerhi did not object to her bail.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat granted her bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Iyabode was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd October, 2018.

P.M.EXPRESS contacted some members of the Nollywood and they identified Iyabode for her involvement in Yoruba movies but said that she withdrew because of similar offence after her colleagues’ items got missing while they were on set shooting movies at locations.
