Oko-Afo-Ilogbo Eremi Road: Senator Adeola (Yayi) Is A Performer & Worthy Representative – Hon. Samson Olatunde

The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (Samola), has eulogised the lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District as performing Senator and worthy representative.

He made the comments when he stood in for the legislator and commissioned one of the many projects of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) in Lagos West Senatorial District on Tuesday 8th February, 2022.

The project, Oko-Afo-Ilogbo Eremi Road in Ward D, Olorunda LCDA, Badagry, Lagos State, compliments an existing intervention of the Council on the same road spanning 900meters. The newly commissioned stretch is set to further address the formerly deplorable state of the road.

Delivering the opening address, Hon. Gafar Muritala, the Yayi Movement Coordinator for Badagry-Central LG, congratulated Badagry federation in general, citing the number of projects in the pipeline facilitated by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi).

While addressing the audience, Alhaji Abu Akilapa, an Apex Leader in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), advised the people to be more appreciative of and prioritise developmental projects over scrambling for money from their representatives. In that regard, he referenced Hon. Olatunde and Senator Olamilekan Adeola as proof that delivery of developmental projects is central to the policies of the APC and holds better promises for all.

On that note, he encouraged the representatives of Yayi in the Badagry Federation to ensure that the Senator does not rest on his laurels.

The Coordinator of the Yayi Movement in Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Solomon Bolaji, who is also a former Sole Administrator of the Council, appreciated youths in Ilogbo-Eremi Kingdom for the help rendered in form of security of materials and equipment during the construction phase. He proceeded to list some of the inexhaustible projects facilitated by Senator Solomon Adeola to resounding cheers from the audience.

In his speech, Hon. Olatunde, the Mayor of the Council, spoke in glowing terms of Senator  Solomon Adeola. He described him as “a performing Senator”, referencing his remarkable track record as basis. He proceeded to announce to the audience that the outstanding stretch of the road is in the State’s budget for the year 2022.

However, he stated that in the meantime, the people have to take responsibility for taking care of the road and ensuring that it is in the best shape possible always.

Dignitaries who also to grace the occasion included Council Legislators led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Ariwayo Christian, Former Executive Secretary of the Council, Hon. Akin Ajayi, Former Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Femi Bamgbose, Former Secretary to the Council, Hon. Odu, Baales and Chiefs, Leaders of various unions and organisations and members of the general public.
