Oko Community Hosts ASHIA Delegation

The Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, ASHIA, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, on Saturday 15th June, 2019, led some officials of the Agency to Oko community, Orumba North LGA.

They were received by the Igwe of the community, His Royal Highness, Igwe Prof. Laz. Ekwueme and his Council of Chiefs. The Team was at the palace to deliver the message of the “Adoption model” aimed at bringing Ndi Anambra into the state health insurance scheme.

The Adoption model according to the Executive Secretary was developed to allow for a greater number of Ndi Anambra gain access to quality and affordable healthcare services anywhere in the state through the participation of philanthropists and other wealthy individuals who could afford to pay N12,000 per annum for persons in their communities.

Prof. Ekwueme later charged his cabinet chiefs to take the message to their villages and ensure their people registered with the scheme.
