Police operatives from the Ogun State Command have arrested one eyed wanted cult leader, Sunday Paul, a.k.a. Blade, who had been on the wanted list of suspected cultists terrorising innocent people in the state.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Blade, as he is popularly known, had been on the Police wanted list for a period of time and was seen as being invincible until he was arrested recently in his hideout.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi. He stated that Blade, who is one eyed, had been terrorising the residents of Ikenne and its environs before he was eventually arrested.

DSP Oyeyemi stated that Blade was the leader of the dreaded Eiye Confraternity in Ikenne, responsible for the killing of not less than 15 people in Ikenne and environs and had been on the wanted list of the Police Command.
However, his arrest on 21st September, 2019, ended his reign as invincible suspect following an intensive surveillance and technical investigation into his activities.

Upon his arrest, it was discovered that he had been arrested and charged to Court on three different occasions and that he recently came out of prison over a murder related case.
On interrogation, he admitted being the leader of Eiye cult group in Ikenne and its environs. He equally confessed being responsible for the killing of one Kabiru, who he claimed to be a member of a rival cult group.
DSP Oyeyemi stated that his arrest elicited wild jubilation in Ikenne and its environs as a result of the havoc he had caused in those areas over a long period of time, evaded arrest and escaped.

He said that the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama, has ordered a full scale investigation into the past activities of the suspect with the view to charging him to Court as soon as possible.
