Ononuju Rejoins Uzodimma In Full Force As Former Labour Party Members Defect To APC

Posted on October 12, 2023
The former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Barrister Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike), has returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in style after a brief sojourn in the Labour Party, which he described as ‘tactical withdrawal’.
Ononuju, who used the opportunity of the APC gubernatorial campaign flag -off in Owerri, on Wednesday to stage a comeback with many former members of the Labour Party said: “I belong to H/E Governor Hope Uzodimma as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and only made a tactical withdrawal to address certain issues and today I am proud to be where I rightly belong.
“I briefly left as the engine of a train without coaches, and returning as an engine with many coaches demonstrated by the calibre and number of people that I am bringing to our great APC family.”
“These great men and women standing with me are capable, strong, committed and desirous of joining our great party at this moment in time because they want to be part of the success story exemplified by the Shared Prosperity Administration of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. They are prepared and ready to go the extra mile to ensure victory for our dear Governor on November 11, 2023.”
“It is amazing, the great and  game-changing developmental accomplishments of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma as the Governor of Imo State. He has truly performed beyond expectations and genuinely deserves a second term of office for more  spectacular achievements and more  dividends of democracy for Imo people.”
“Right now, there is so much confusion in the opposition. It is a life threatening virus, showing the abrupt end already.
They are no match to our kind-hearted Governor and have no good message for Imo people.”
“I was here in the beginning and I have come back joyfully with a great team to my great family to work.
Those who know me well can attest that I am loyal to friendship and my convictions. Especially for a long standing one that I have had with Onwa. So, I have come to contribute my quota to the success of the party at the polls on November 11, 2023. The task maybe daunting but I know that with determination, dedication and grace of God Almighty, our victory is assured.” I am Ekwedashike.
The APC gubernatorial campaign flag-off, which took place at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, the state capital, was dubbed the “Renewed Hope 2023, Tested and Trusted”.
Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, 14 governors and other top officials of the party led the flag-off campaign for the reelection of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma on Wednesday.
