Why The Orange Paradise Project Must See The Light Of Day – W.O.D.E

Posted on May 26, 2019

The organisers of the Orange Paradise Project, World of Dance Entertainment, slated to take place on June 1, 2019, in Ikorodu area of Lagos, have given reasons the project must see the light of day.

In a release made available to newsmen, they stated that since its inception on 1st June, 2017, World of Dance Entertainment has been considered by outsiders as mainly a dance platform while from the inside it has consistently been involved in various developmental mediums to advance Pro-life and foster a positive society for the youths and teenagers alike.

They enumerated about five reasons World of Dance Entertainment is actively an industrial future from Ikorodu:

  1. Sensitizing The Area & Paying Attention To The Community
Whenever need the arises to create awareness on both internal and external issues pertaining to community projections and issues, the brand has always endeavoured to be a front runner from every direction which is mostly synonymous with Orange Patrol on the streets of Ikorodu. This has actually caught more puzzles on the
inhabitants to precisely digest what the company is really about simply because it functions way beyond just dancing.
  2. Touching Lives Of Those That Cannot Be Heard
There are a lot of aspiring and talented youths today around Ikorodu that have apparently found a sense of purpose after encountering W.O.DE. Their event strategies are a means of connecting the younger generation to grow more in their different skills and talents. This was also noted at the last edition of WODESLAM April 30th 2019, where the company introduced a special guest (Hon. MKO Arowolo) to the event. He was so impressed to declare 20 free skill acquisition scholarships to the youths of Elepe.
  3. Lecturing And Impacting Knowledge
The last Fridays of every month is now becoming more popular to be referred to as WODENATION. This is a monthly programme run by the Executives of World of Dance Entertainment. It is not to dance but for a time to sit down to lecture, mentor and orientate the youths and teenagers alike on other areas that could possibly be boosters to their careers and destiny order than just dancing. The programme is also an association of grassroots dancers; giving them the platform to
unite and share their experiences on career pathways and creating measures to remedy some basic challenges they face along the line.
  4. Showing Concern About Local Or National Issues
The company is a non partisan platform and deems it fair to stand for the basic fundamental human rights and equal justice system if the need arises. Time in and time out the brand has been able to foster moves that carter for both local and national concerns. A key fact about this was the company’s partnership with the Ikorodu Youth Division Movement in felicitation to the family of late
Adijat Shakiru, a young student that was unfortunately killed by stray bullet. And also the company’s involvement with the Yoruba Council Of Youths Worldwide & The Arewa Youth Forum Of Nigeria
to promote the #SAVENIGERIADEMOCRACY after the 2019 general elections in Nigeria which was widely publicised.
  5. Deploying The Strikers To The Right Places
Strikers are largely referred to as dancers in the company which makes it even more interesting as relates to their talent branding and mobilization. The Orange uniforms and caps been worn by the strikers are not commonly seen on just any event. It must be unique, identifiable and revealing. The company works together with a media team for proper coverage and promotion in order to enhance their talent value consecutively.

This year’s Orange Paradise Project by World of Dance Entertainment is propelled by Hon SOB Agunbiade (a member of Lagos State House of Assembly) and Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba (Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government).

The strictly by invitation event will be taking place at the Gbadamosi Conference Room (Ikorodu Town Hall), Ikorodu Central and is slated to start by 10am.
