Oyetola Mourns Osun Ansar-ud-deen Chief Missioner, Dr. Yunus Sanusi

Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has mourned the demise of the late Chief Missioner of the State branch of the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Dr. Yunus Sanusi who passed on earlier today at the age of 75.

Oyetola in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, said he received with sadness and rude shock, the news of the death of the revered Muslim cleric.

He described the late Missioner as an epitome of piousness, refined character and Omoluabi per excellence, who used his position as a cleric and mentor to propagate the teachings of Islam, engender peace, unity and cohesion in the society.

According to him, the late Sanusi was known for his uniqueness not only in the propagation of Islam but also in maintaining peaceful coexistence among Muslim Ummah and beyond.

The Governor commiserated with the Osun Muslim Community, most importantly the immediate family of the deceased just as he prayed Allah to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“I received with sadness and rude shock the news of the death of Dr. Yunus Sanusi who passed on this morning. Indeed, the deceased was one of the finest clerics that dedicated their lives to the service of God and humanity.

“As a faithful being, I know death is inevitable on every mortal but we return all glory to Almighty Allah in the fact that the deceased lived a worthy life and we pray God to grant him Aljana Firdaus”, he said.
