In a press release issued by the Project Manager of PEARL Awards Nigeria, Mr. Olisemeka Obi, the President and Chief Executive Officer of PEARL Awards Nigeria, Mr. Tayo Orekoya, described the Summit as timely, coming at a period when both government and the private sector are seeking sustainable pathways for economic growth, investment expansion and enhanced competitiveness.

According to Mr. Orekoya, sustainable corporate competitiveness requires deliberate collaboration among policymakers, regulators, market operators and business leaders.

“Corporate competitiveness does not thrive in isolation. It is influenced by the quality of policies, regulatory certainty, institutional effectiveness, and the ability of businesses to adapt to changing realities. This Summit seeks to foster meaningful dialogue among key stakeholders and identify practical pathways towards strengthening Nigeria’s corporate ecosystem,” he stated.

The release noted that the PEARL Awards Corporate Summit has continued to serve as a leading thought-leadership platform, promoting high-level discourse on issues affecting Nigeria’s capital market, corporate governance, enterprise sustainability, and national economic development. Participation at the Summit is expected from captains of industry, quoted companies, institutional investors, market operators, policymakers, regulators, professional bodies, and senior government officials.

The Summit precedes the 2026 PEARL Awards, which continues its tradition of recognizing and rewarding outstanding corporate performance, transparency, and shareholder value creation in Nigeria’s capital market.
