PHOTOS: Osun Govt Opens Iconic Olaiya Flyover In Osogbo To Public

The Osun State Government as led by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has announced the opening of the Olaiya bridge in the state capital.

The opening is for test-running by the General Public after due certification for safe ride by the external Consultant (Advanced Engineering Consultant, Lagos), while the “First Ride” shall be performed by the Governor on Monday, at 12pm.

The State Commissioner of Works and Transport, Engr Remi Omowaiye thanked the good citizens of the State for their perseverance and endurance during the construction period.

The citizens are further admonished to exercise caution and observe all traffic rules while plying the bridge.

The test running which is a normal part of the construction process is to test the overall carrying capacity of the bridge.

With a slew of projects across the state, the Osun State government is keen on not dropping the ball when it comes to quality assurance as regards execution.
